Time: August 2026-May 2027

Pay: $15/hr

Hours: 10/wk

Availability: In office 4hrs, 10-12 Mondays and 2hrs to be decided with Fellow. The remainder of time may be remote. 

Job Description 

Position: Graduate Fellow, Kentucky Psychological Association and Kentucky Psychological Foundation

Reports to: Executive Director and Director of Operations

Job Summary: Provides support in day to day operations of KPA and KPF, as well as direct planning and facilitation of organization events

Duties and Responsibilities: The position of the Graduate Fellow will be multi-faceted, requiring skills in organization, membership service, and day to day association support. The following is a review of the major areas of involvement in the position:

Event Support

  • Support the execution of key organization events including KPA Convention (Early November), Psychology Day at the Capitol (February), and the Kentucky Student Psychology Conference (Early - Mid-April). 
  • Staff external KPA & KPF events, including KPA Convention, Psychology Day at the Capitol, Kentucky Psychology Student Conference, and other events as assigned which may involve out-of-office events up to twice a month.
  • Assist with updating event procedures as appropriate
  • Assist with implementation of other educational events for KPA & KPF

Administrative Tasks

  • Database and Listserv management as assigned by Supervisors
  • Other organizational tasks as assigned.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Working independently on special projects as assigned, including but not limited to direct mailings, event preparations, and data tracking
  • Light housekeeping (shared by other staff)
  • Some lifting, up to 25lbs
  • Other Tasks as assigned by Executive Director or Director of Operations

Knowledge, Training and Skills Required:

Minimum: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel or Gsuite equivalent. Experience working with graphic design programs, such as Canva, a plus but not required.  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
