The purpose of this didactic training is to increase attendees’ professional knowledge of measurement based care (MBC) and readiness to implement MBC. Attendees will be provided with an overview of the research support and rationale for using MBC across diverse clinical populations. This presentation will describe how MBC can be used to improve client outcomes, support therapist trainee development clinical supervision and guide organizational quality improvement. Skill level: Beginning

Workshop Objectives

Based on the content of this workshop, attendees will be able to...

  • Describe the research base supporting measurement-based care
  • Explain the 4 major practice components of measurement-based care (introduce, collect, share, act)
  • Describe application of measurement-based care to clinical supervision and organizational quality improvement

 About the Presenter

Elizabeth Casline, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine’s Impact Institute where her work focuses on improving health outcomes for sexual and gender minority (SGM) youth through the evaluation and implementation of digital health interventions. Her research interests focus on tailoring interventions using participatory methods that center the voices of SGM youth, and increasing the adoption of evidence-based practices, including measurement-based care, in community mental health settings. She is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Advisory Committee for MBC and the Mental and Behavioral Health Registry and a consultant on a NIMH-funded grant focused on identify key fidelity indicators of MBC. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Miami after completing her clinical internship at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

This program has been approved for 2.0 CE credits by the Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA). 
It is important to note that APA continuing education rules require that KPA only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop.  Those who login more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time or leave before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credit. Partial credit may not be given.
